Property Details
Tavistock was voted the top market town in the UK in 2005. Westward is situated in the delightful Dartmoor Stannary town of Tavistock , the winner of the 'Best Market Town in the UK' in 2005. It is ideally located to enjoy both the hustle and bustle of this historic Devon town and the tranquillity of Dartmoor's scenic beauty, plus the many other attractions that the West Country has to offer. The city of Plymouth, with its proud naval history and ever-improving retail centre, is close by and Tavistock is also well placed for day trips into Cornwall with its fabulous beaches, pretty coastal villages and the world-famous Eden Project.
We have three bedrooms, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. The spacious family room has an en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower and a double and single bed. The double room overlooks our delightful rear garden and also has an en-suite shower room. Located on the ground floor, our single room is compact but cosy with its own shower and toilet located on the floor above. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and colour television. The double and family rooms also have video recorders and guests are welcome to make use of our small but varied film library. We offer a full English breakfast, prepared using local produce, including award-winning sausages from Howells Butchers of Tavistock. A vegetarian option is always available. We are only a few minutes' walk from the town's varied choice of restaurants and pubs which offer visitors a choice of Thai, Mexican, Indian, Italian and modern European cuisine.
