East Bowerland Farm Bed and Breakfast
Property Details
Known in 1254 as 'Borland', by 1578 (when it changed hands for fifty two pounds twelve shillings and six pence!) it had become Bowerlande. The property has had a long and varied history; it is believed that it was used as a POW transit camp in the war - the Napoleonic War! Today, Bowerland represents a characterful, sympathetically modernised farmhouse and two superbly renovated, luxurious courtyard cottages, in the lovely peaceful country just beneath the drama of Dartmoor.
Superbly located, Bowerland offers a wealth of opportunities for touring, walking, riding, cycling, golf, tennis, a wide range of pub food and a choice of either coast, depending on whim and weather. As if that were not enough, we are in the centre of a choice selection of fishing locations for both salmon and trout within easy reach.
There is a large lawn and half-acre paddock available for games and an adjacent bridleway for dog walking.
Bed and breakfast also available - details on request.
