Our charming Bed & Breakfast accommodation is within our Grade II listed property that offers comfortable rooms, a satisfying breakfast to please all tastes, and a clean and quiet environment for guests that are non-smokers travelling without young children or pets.
Bedrooms at the Rainbow Lodge have the high ceilings and very solid outer walls typical of early 19th century building (The building is mentioned in the 1841 census and was almost certainly standing 10 years earlier when Darwin left Plymouth for the Galapagos Islands).
Your bed will have a mattress that is on the firm side made with crisp white linen and Oxford pillows, intended to provide you with a comfortable and healthy sleep. Each bedroom has colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.
We offer a real choice of satisfying breakfasts at Rainbow Lodge. Here is our basic selection of main courses (other requirements will be met wherever possible):
Local English: your choice of bacon, egg, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans featuring local produce wherever possible.
French connection: the classic continental breakfast of croissants, pastries and coffee.
Detox special: all the fruits, nuts and other things you need for an energy building morning meal.
Before tucking in to these, enjoy a choice of cereals or fruit starters and wash your meal down with a cafetiere of fair trade coffee or your choice of tea.
